Natalie Almanza was born and raised in Miami, FL and made a cross-country move to the Pacific Northwest where she is a fine artist and photographer currently practicing in Portland, OR. Her passion for creating began at a young age, drawing and doodling on every available surface. She does not limit herself to a specific medium, finding beauty and inspiration through drawing, painting, printmaking, and photography. Her subject matter consists of intricate line-work and design, delving into both abstract and concrete ideas, a window into her imagination. Her work ranges from delicate strokes to rough textures; it is very meticulous, and yet simultaneously abstracted.
Natalie works alongside Antler Gallery, as part of their curatorial internship. She is currently working on a series of drawings which will become part of a show she is responsible for curating at the gallery in early 2015.
